"FEMME FOCUS" COLLECTION:
With her botanical motifs, Mathilde Olsen creates a delicate interplay between nature and the inner worlds of contemplative, creative women.
Using a combination of glass and paper, she introduces subtle variations in light and depth that bring an appealing effect to the works.
Her double-sided portraits invite the viewer to explore the instinctive curiosity of examining the reverse side of a painting. The rigid layers of glass lend a sense of openness and vulnerability to the female portraits, allowing them to be viewed from both sides and capture the multifaceted nature of women.
